The Polyisocyanurate Insulation Manufacturers Association (PIMA) is the national trade association representing Polyiso insulation manufacturers and suppliers to the Polyiso industry. PIMA advances the use of Polyiso insulation and is one of the nation’s foremost industry advocates for energy-efficient practices and policies. In addition, PIMA has been recognized by both the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Sustainable Building Industries Council for advocacy and products. PIMA’s membership includes Polyiso insulation manufacturers and suppliers to the Polyiso industry. PIMA represents the public policy interests of Polyiso manufacturers and suppliers at the local, national, and international level, while advancing the message of high performance building construction. PIMA works with representatives from all sectors of the building industry and a variety of trade organizations and environmental advocates to support policies promoting safe, cost-effective, sustainable, and energy-efficient construction, including:
PIMA and Polyiso products have received the Sustainable Buildings Industry Council’s (SBIC) 2003 "Best Practice” Sustainability Award and the U.S. EPA’s Climate Protection Award for leadership in promoting energy efficiency and climate protection. The EPA also awarded PIMA and its members the Stratospheric Ozone Protection Award for "leadership in CFC phase-out in Polyiso insulation and in recognition of exceptional contributions to global environmental protection."
