The PIMA QualityMark^cm Certification program is a voluntary program that allows polyiso manufactures to obtain independent, third-party certification for the Long Term Thermal Resistance (LTTR) values of their polyiso insulation products. Polyiso is the only insulation to be certified by this unique program for its LTTR value. The program is administered by FM Global and was developed by the Polyisocyanurate Insulation Manufacturers Association (PIMA), the trade group which represents polyiso manufacturers. FM Global, one of the world’s largest commercial and industrial insurance and risk-management organizations, administers the certification. Random polyiso samples are selected by a third-party administrator from participating manufacturers and measured to certify their 15-year LTTR values. An accredited laboratory applies ASTM international techniques to establish and certify the results. After winning PIMA QualityMark^cm Certification, manufacturers may be subject to unannounced LTTR-value reviews.

This program was designed to be a benchmark against which all roof insulations can be measured. The certification gives consumers an easy way to identify quality products that meet or exceed listed LTTR-values. (LTTR Fact Sheet)
