The Polyisocyanurate Insulation Manufacturers Association (PIMA) announced today that IKO has joined the association effective January 1, 2018. IKO is a global leader in the roofing, insulation and related building products. Founded in 1951, IKO first manufactured building paper and added a shingle plant in 1959. IKO entered the U.S. marketplace in 1979 and has steadily expanded its presence by building new plants across North America.
“As an association of manufacturers committed to promoting and improving polyiso products, we benefit when we unite behind common goals. IKO’s participation in PIMA will strengthen our role as the unified voice for the North American polyiso industry,” said Justin Koscher, President of PIMA. “Our joint efforts help members keep pace with advancements in policy and technical discussions, and our combined strength gives visibility to the superior performance of polyiso products for the entire building envelope.”
PIMA’s other polyiso manufacturing members include: Atlas Roofing Corporation, Carlisle Construction Materials, Firestone Building Products, GAF, Johns Manville, Rmax and Soprema.
